Top 5 Season Trends!

Happy Friday my Loves!

I hope you’re all ready for the weekend! Bring it!
I decided to gather my Top 5 Season Favourite Trends to show you all =]
As you may all know by now, once I like a style, I get a bit obsessed with it. Haha. No really.
So these Top 5 trends, I must say, have gotten me overly obsessed.

1: Collars
This goes from Peter Pan collars, to business like ones and so on. They simply make an outfit look that extra bit chic, eye-catching and stylish. The dress I’m wearing was my favourite piece from Romwe;  So elegant and unique. This brings me onto my Second loving trend at the moment, which is…

2: Sequins
As you can see I allowed myself to hit two loving trends with one dress! The dress is from Romwe Clothing, which I adored!
As sequence can automatically spice up an outfit. The way you wear it is important, as you don’t ever want to “over-do” Sequins so it doesn’t look tacky.

3: High Hair Bun
This has been a favourite of mine, since the first time I saw Audrey Hepburn on film. Absolutely adore it. Such an iconic, presentable and stylish look. Once this is worn, nothing can go wrong. Trust me ;)

4: Statement Rings
Where would we be without these? So bold and unique to each individual. I love seeing how people dress and one of the first thing my eye catches on people, is their accessories and how they style them. It can say so much about a person, and that’s what I adore. The Black and Gold “anchor ring” I wore was also from Romwe. I love how when wearing this, it’s almost as if you don’t even need to wear another piece of jewelry.

5: Envelope Clutches
The bigger, the better. I love how one can completely alter an outfit, with an accessory like a purse or clutch, and this season’s latest trend does indeed have to be the “Envelope Clutch”. I bought mien for around $10 which is insane for Australia at Sportsgirl! Love how it has gold outlining in it. This way it can be teamed up with both Black & Gold!

I would love to hear YOUR Top 5 Season fav’s! Comment below or one my Facebook Page and let me know!

Adore you all..Keep Smiling

Book Review: Fifty Shades of Grey

I have never been able to read a book so fast before. When everyone around me couldn’t stop talking about “Fifty Shades of Grey “, all I could think about was..Another popular lovey dovey book, with a twist. Nothing special.

Boy was I wrong.

This book allowed my emails to go from 50 to 150; I neglected my priorities, my tasks and daily goals during the 2 days. All because of Christian Grey. All that needs to be said is, if you’re over 21 and haven’t read this book. Read it.

At times it may seem “Weird”…(the only word I can come up with to describe my thoughts) although as the book itself states “It will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever”.

If you've read it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on Twitter, or my Facebook page :)

How to: Curl Your Hair With A Straightener

Happy Friday Afternoon Beauties!!

I just want to start off by saying..I am quiet cold. I have on a Abercrombie jumper, I’m in front of the heater..and still freezing..normal?! Nope.

So since I first began doing videos on my YouTube channel, one of the first questions I received continuously, was how I curl my hair to get that bouncy, volumized look.

Well, as you may all know, products tend to be quiet expensive in Australia, so when I came across “Flat Iron Experts.com” I jumped on the opportunity to get a Hair straighter!
It’s from overseas so the power outlet is different, although with the straightener + the convertible outlet cord, it turned out to be cheaper than an amazing Australian hair straightner would cost.

The red, leopard print gives it a more sexier look..I must say ;) haha and because the tool heats up so fast, the look is so quick to achieve!

By simple brushing my hair with a bristle brush, using heat protectant (also from “FlatIron Experts), this look was achieved. It’s a great look to get for a day out for coffee, an interview or a night out!

Let me know if you’ve ever created this look and if you have, Post a picture on my Facebook Page..Would love to see =]

Adore you all

Style: 2012 Fashion Lookbook

Happy Saturday Loves...(and Friday to those overseas ;)

Just made my coffee to sit down and begin to Blog! Writing is such a big part of my life..I’ve always had such a passion for it, since I was a child..and I’m so excited to share with you guys my next video!
This Lookbook was inspired by Gossip Girl, Rachel Zoe and all things stylish in 2012!
I had the amazing opportunity to work with “Gabriel FilmProductions” for this video..it’s amazing how HD the quality is! haha

My first outfit reminds me so much of the season Autumn!
I wore a red long coat, inspired by Blair’s fashion sense in Gossip Girl. I wore an infinity scarf in a brown tone, along with a lace white dress, all from Shilla Clothing. Their style is so chic and amazing, wearing these pieces; I’ve gotten so many compliments on the texture and style.
The beautiful brown tote I’m holding is from Cosmetic Love and the Brown wedge shoes I’m wearing are super comfortable and stylish at the same time =] they were from Cassandra Jayne Heels!

The second outfit reminds me of the 70’s chic “Bridget Bardot” look, which I adore. I must say, sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong generation; I would have died from happiness if I was a 70’s, 80’s girl..Is that normal?! Haha ..probably not.
My red high -waisted pants are from Gosh Celebrity; and the top I’m wearing is actually a dress that I folded up, from Shilla Clothing. Wearing an outfit that covers your body, though leaving a simple aspect open (like my back in this outfit) gives it a sexy feature to it, without over doing it too much! The unique , detailed black bag I’m holding is from Fashion Code.

The third look is much more formal and sophisticated. I’m wearing this beautiful coloured Fuchsia Dress from Quae Bella, alongside the faux snakeskin clutch. I decided to colour block, to give it a bit of edge as well. My Blue pumps are definitely one of my favorites..I was a about to fall of my seat when I saw them the first time; they’re also from Cassandra Jayne Heels.

Let me know which outfit you liked the best =] and stay tuned for my huge International (Jewelry + One Direction Magazine Giveaway ;)

I truly adore you all- Keep Smiling

Hair Expo 2012: Media Preview

Good Morning Loves!

Can’t believe it’s Friday once again..Ow gosh, hope everyone has an amazing start to their weekend!
A few weeks ago I was invited by the lovely Maxted Thomas PR agency, to attend an exclusive media preview of the weekend at Jayne Wild’s Milsons Point salon in Sydney, Wild Life Origin. The night began with six of Australia’s best hairdressers and make-up guru, Rae Morris. They were all so lovely; I even got the amazing opportunity to get my makeup done by Rae Morris herself, during a presentation.

Replacing the usual opening press conference, we were invited to watch the artist’s at work, it was so inspiring actually getting to speak to them and see how the work is created.
From Jayne Wild, (current Australian Hairdresser of the Year),Brad Ngata, Damien Rinaldo, Caterina Di Biase, Joey Scandizzo and Frank Apostolopoulos, I must say the talent was overflowing!

As guests, we were also provided with a generous gift bag; it was so sweet of them to include this, as the gifts were pretty amazing. The Sebastian “Color Ignite” shampoo, I began using the night of the event and not only does my hair feel super soft, although it smells ahhmazinng. Just sayin.

Comment below what shampoo & Conditioner you use..I find it so interesting to hear what others use..haha is that weird?! =]

I also got to meet beautiful people, all pictured below. They were all so sweet; I want to thank Maxted Thomas for having me and Jayne Wild’s Milson Point Salon for catering the event. The view of Sydney Harbour was to die for, we should appreciate the beautiful country we live in more! =]

Until Next time..Keep Smiling my Loves

Quick & Easy, Cute School Makeup!

Happy Thursday my Loves!!

Yesterday was my last day of University, after 4 years it almost seems surreal to see my degree coming to an end. I must say I never thought I’d be somewhat upset to graduate from my Bachelors in Media & Journalism, but I was.
This made me re think the whole reason that one should always enjoy what they do and to simply live in the moment. As clich├ęd as it sounds, it must be done, to always feel like you’ve enjoyed the seconds that make your life.

So while I was getting ready for university, I thought I’d film it when I got home once again.  I get asked a lot of questions daily and one of the most common one is how to accomplish the whole “School, natural makeup look”. So I did =]

I used an amazing brand called Zuii ; the reason I was so excited to share with you guys this particular brand, was because the brand is made from organic ingredients. This leaves your skin prone to bacteria and your pores free from being clogged. This is why I would recommend this makeup line on a daily basis. The tutorial I did is quick, simple, yet cute. I decided to put my hair up in a high ponytail look, with a side braid. This also added something sleek, yet unique and nice to the look!

For my eyes, I decided to use this beautiful palette from SolidRose. Their makeup is absolutely stunning, so pigmented and bright, I adore it. You can always apply a specific amount of eye shadow, then using a blending brush; blend it all out, for that simple, chic look.

Once again the necklace I’m wearing is a customized one from My Name Necklaces! If you mention my name as the code word “LILIAN” you get a further 8% off; just too cheap!! Wooooooo !

Let me know what you thought of the tutorial and what you wear to school, college or university?!

Adore you all

What's a BB Cream?!

Happy Friday Beauties!!

I absolutely adore knowing that after a week of running around, we can rest (or continuously watch DVDs) on the weekend!..Even though I technically should be stressing for 3 major essays due soon for University..I have no idea why I’m so calm :/

A few weeks ago, I was very nicely sent a few BB Creams from My BB Cream-Korean Cosmetics” to test out. Previously I had tried a few other BB creams, but wasn’t sure on my verdict. I must say after trying out their brand, my whole mindset on BB Creams altered.

First off, I’ll start by mentioning what a BB Cream exactly is, as it is a fairly new product.
The BB Cream or Blemish Balm Cream became popular a few years ago in East Asia. As celebrities there began wearing it, society became interested in what it exactly was, and what it did.

Originated in Germany, dermatologists used it for healing laser skin surgery due to its soothing and skin-regenerating properties. After the craze began in Asia, it then spread to all over the world, across borders.  A lot of people compare it to a foundation, although the BB Cream can be good for one. It has a lot of SPF, treats acne, skin tone, and it is quite light weight; this is why individuals tend to use it daily, as it allows your skin to breathe.

You can wear the BB Cream by itself to go for a more natural look, or simply wear it under your foundation, as it does lightly conceal. I tested out the ones sent to me, and am wearing it in the image above. As you can tell, it also allows your foundation to sit nicely on your skin. There are so many versions to choose from, so you can pick the one that suits you!

Some BB Creams tend to whiten the skin tone, although you may be able to find brands that don’t, so it is up to you.

This particular brand is Korea’s NUMBER 1 BB CREAM!! Amaazing!
And let me just add, the packaging was to die for. Just look how nicely it’s packaged and sealed! =]

-Works like a tinted moisturizer
-soften & smoothes uneven skin tone
-maintains youthful skin
-Anti wrinkle formula
-UV Protection

Let me know if you’ve ever tried this BB Cream before? Or Any?!
Until next time..Adore you all!

Keep Smiling
